'A Quiet Place 2' Exclusive Theatrical Teaser Gives Fans A Reason To Go See 'Black Christmas'

Based on early reviews (currently 41% on Rotten Tomatoes), it doesn’t appear that “Black Christmas” warrants the attention of film fans all around the world. Of course, if you’re a horror fan looking for something less festive or someone wanting to help support female filmmakers, then you’re likely going to see the film anyway. Well, Paramount has given fans one more reason to make the trek out to “Black Christmas” — a special teaser for “A Quiet Place 2.”

According to ScreenRant, screenings of “Black Christmas” features an exclusive teaser for the upcoming horror sequel, “A Quiet Place 2.” The teaser is following in the footsteps of Christopher Nolan’sTenet” and Warner Bros’ “Birds of Prey” by offering theatrical audiences a first look that no one else is going to be able to see. So, since you’re probably trying to decide whether or not to check out “Black Christmas,” you may be wondering what all is in the teaser?

Well, we have some answers…

*Spoiler Warning*

So, the footage doesn’t give much away over the course of its 20 seconds, but it does provide a bit more information than we previously have known about the sequel. The footage shows Emily Blunt’s character walking along a trail with her children, obviously trying to avoid making a noise and attracting the monsters. However, the footage does make clear that Blunt has a bandage over her foot, which is a sign that “A Quiet Place 2” follows the first film directly.

If you recall, at the end of “A Quiet Place,” Blunt’s character steps on a nail and injures her foot, leading to one of the more intense moments in the film. If she’s still bandaged during the sequel’s timeline, then clearly the film takes place immediately after the events of the first. Or at least, a portion of the film picks up immediately after.

Outside of that, there’s not much else that is known about the film, other than there are new cast members, including Djimon Hounsou and Cillian Murphy. And of course, John Krasinski won’t be starring, but he did write and direct the sequel.

“A Quiet Place 2” arrives in theaters on May 15, 2020.
