Here’s the official synopsis:

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

The protection and survival of the Abbott clan are now more than ever the responsibility of Mrs. Abbott and of her two eldest children, Regan and Marcus. Her newborn baby, tender and innocent, presents a danger in a world where a simple sound can be a matter of life or death. The widow has already lost one child to these predatory brutes, and she does not plan on losing any more.

The actors from the first film who portrayed the Abbott family members return to reprise their roles. Millicent Simmonds returns as Regan, Noah Jupe as Marcus, and the revered Emily Blunt as their mother. Additional cast members include Djimon Hounsou (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), Cillian Murphy (“Dunkirk”), and Wayne Duvall (“Lincoln”). “A Quiet Place: Part II” is set for U.S. release on March 20, 2020.
