Even with a new writer polishing the script, and a production start that has been pushed back a month, Universal and Focus Features are still feeling good and aroused about “Fifty Shades Of Grey.” Casting continues for the erotica drama, with another name being strapped on for next summer’s sexytime offering.

Raising Victor Vargas” and “How To Make It In America” star Victor Rasuk has joined the movie, and it’s a part that will raise the temperature in more ways that one. It would appear that Anastasia Steele has more than one man in her life, and while Christian Grey wants her, he’s threatened by her classmate Jose. Here’s the Wiki breakdown of the character:

José Luis Rodriguez Jris a close friend of Anastasia Steele. The two of them met as lonely freshman at WSUV and recognized each other as “kindred spirits”. Coincidentally, Jose’s dad and Ana’s dad served in the same Army unit. Ana sees José as “the brother [she] never had”.

Ana describes him as being the perfect guy in every way: good-looking, funny, nice, smart, conventional—but she admits to seeing him as nothing more than a friend.

Sensing José’s long-standing attraction to Ana, Christian continues to view him as a romantic rival, despite Ana’s dismissal of José being any type of romantic threat. He has a tense relationship with Christian because of this.

Rasuk joins Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan and Luke Grimes in the movie. Lensing on the Sam Taylor-Johnson flick starts in December with an August 1, 2014 release on deck. [Deadline]
