Richard Madden Admits Being "Starstruck" By 'Eternals' Cast & Teases Big Names Yet To Be Announced

Unlike many of his “Game of Thrones” compatriots, actor Richard Madden had a few extra years to get a headstart on his post-‘Thrones’ career. And he’s used that time to great effect, with roles in projects like “Cinderella,” “Bodyguard,” “Rocketman,” and the upcoming “1917.” However, the film that most people have their sights set on in Madden’s future is Marvel’sEternals,” which has one of the best casts to ever appear in a non-‘Avengers’ superhero film.

And according to Madden, even with the star-studded cast that has already been announced, featuring Salma Hayak, Angelina Jolie, Brian Tyree Henry, Barry Keoghan, and his own ‘Thrones’ pal Kit Harington, there are still some great names that have yet to be announced. While speaking at the recent GQ Awards, where he won the Hugo Boss Most Stylish Man Award, the actor was asked about being starstruck by the incredible “Eternals” cast and if there was anything else he can reveal.

Madden said, “I always get starstruck. And there’s some more actors yet to be announced in that lineup.”

When he was asked whether or not he knows who those names are, he coyly replied, “Yes.” However, he didn’t elaborate for fear of the “Marvel snipers.”

Obviously, Marvel Studios announced the main cast for “Eternals” at D23 but didn’t reveal who might be filling out the supporting cast. And knowing Kevin Feige’s past, there are surely going to be some massive actors in smaller roles. Marvel Studios has previously given great supporting roles to actors like Robert Redford, Glenn Close, Michael Douglas, Kurt Russell, James Spader, Michael B. Jordan, Jake Gyllenhaal, and many more.

So, odds are, you have no idea about who the Eternals are, but Marvel Studios seems to be banking on the excitement of the cast to put butts in the seats.
