Ricky Gervais & Eric Bana Are Faking It In New Trailer For Netflix Comedy 'Special Correspondents'

Special CorrespondentsSometimes you gotta make the news to get on the news. At least that’s the thinking behind a couple of radio journalists who stumble into the story of a lifetime…when they make one up. "Special Correspondents" is the latest from writer/director Ricky Gervais, who with "Life On The Road" also coming this year, is going to spend 2016 trying very hard to make you laugh.

Co-starring Eric Bana, Vera Farmiga, Kelly Macdonald, Kevin Pollak, America Ferrera, Raúl Castillo and Benjamin Bratt, this Netflix comedy follows some radio journalists who earn national attention for the coverage from Ecuador…which they fake from an apartment in New York City. Here’s the official synopsis:

The film is about a struggling New York based radio journalist whose arrogance and decadent lifestyle has hindered his career.  With his job on the line, he fakes front line war reports from the comfort of his hideout above a Spanish restaurant in Queens.

"Special Correspondents" arrives on Netflix on April 29th. Watch below.
