Rock Out With The First Full Episode Of Cameron Crowe's 'Roadies'

While peak TV means that programming arrives all year-round, the summer season is still slightly less packed with programming than the rest of the year. So you might be looking for something to fill your Sunday nights once “Game Of Thrones” wraps, and “Roadies” might be the key. And to help get you ready, Showtime has dropped the premiere episode — directed by writer/creator Cameron Crowe — online, a full two weeks before it’s set to air.

Starring Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker and Ron White, takes you away from the bright lights of the big stage and goes behind the scenes to detail the drama and comedy that unfolds between the crew working on a national, arena-sized tour for a popular musical act. Essentially, if this can grab some of the authenticity of “Almost Famous,” we’re in. Here’s the official synopsis:

Roadies gives an insider’s look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of “roadies” who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way. “Roadies” arrives on June 26th.
