'Room 104' Season 2 Trailer: The Duplass Brothers Enlist A-List Actors & Directors To Tell More Crazy Motel Stories

Anthology series are all the rage on TV nowadays and for good reason. You see, the beauty of an anthology series is that you can hire incredible talent behind, and in front of, the camera that you wouldn’t normally be able to for an entire season. That advantage is on display, perhaps best of all, in HBO’s series “Room 104.”

As seen in the new trailer for Season 2 of HBO’s anthology series, creators Mark and Jay Duplass have put together an incredible mixture of directors and A-list actors to bring the unbelievable stories of the titular motel room to life.

And boy, are those stories unbelievable. Apparently, there’s choreographed dancing, brawls over $1, cops, tons of things being thrown about, and a dash of horror for good measure. As one of the cops in the trailer says, the room is full of some “crazy illegal-ass shit.”

We’re talking actors like Mahershala Ali, Judy Greer, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Shannon, Rainn Wilson, and Charlyne Yi, among dozens more. And as for the directors coming on board, “Room 104” features episodes helmed by Patrick Brice, Josephine Decker, Mark Duplass, Gaby Hoffmann, Liza Johnson, So Yong Kim, Jonah Markowitz, Natalie Morales, Lila Neugebauer, Ross Partridge, and Julian Wass.

“Room 104” Season 2 premieres on HBO on November 9.

Here’s the synopsis:

From creators and executive producers Mark and Jay Duplass, the show is set in a single room of a typical American chain motel and tells a different story of the assorted characters who pass through it in each episode, ranging from comedy to drama to horror.
