'SALLY4EVER' Trailer: Two Women Test The Limits Of Their Relationship In New HBO Comedy

The story of a love affair that quickly spirals out of control, “SALLY4EVER explores love and sex in today’s confused, obsessive and gender-fluid world.

“SALLY4EVER” follows Sally (Catherine Shepherd), who is about to marry David (Alex Macqueen), her nebbish boyfriend of ten years when she encounters the charismatic Emma (Julia Davis). On the night David asks Sally to marry him, she has a crisis and embarks on a wild affair with Emma. The two fall into a romantic relationship, but what starts out as an exciting and sexy fling takes an unexpected turn when Emma moves in and reveals herself to be an absolute nightmare, not only rearranging the furniture but Sally’s life.

Starring alongside Davis, Shepherd, and Macqueen are Julian Barratt, Joanna Scanlan, Mark Gatiss, and Felicity Montagu. With a cast derived from comedy shows such as “The Inbetweeners,”The Mighty Boosh,” and “Nighty Night,” it’s hard not to be optimistic about this series as it seems there are few limits and boundaries.

In an interview with The Independent, Davis stated, “It’s fun to play horrible people, and to sort of channel my annoyance at people who are like that.”

Continuing that when it comes to the darkness in comedy, “there is such a thing as too far, definitely, but I just go on what I think is funny. That’s it really. It’s an instinctive thing. There are definitely times where you say something and you just think, ‘Oh God actually that’s horrible,’ but it’s better to explore it and have a go.”

The show will consist of seven half-hour episodes created by Julia Davis (creator of the original British series “Camping”), who also executive produces, stars in, wrote, and directed every episode. Produced for HBO and Sky Atlantic by Hush Ho and Various Artists Ltd.

“SALLY4EVER” premieres on November 11 at 10:30PM. Watch the trailer below:
