'Sasquatch' Trailer: The Duplass Brothers Present A Hulu Docuseries About Bigfoot, Murder & A Cannabis Farm

Does Bigfoot exist? Outside of a grainy, old picture and some eyewitness stories, there isn’t much evidence to support that idea. However, in the upcoming Hulu documentary series, “Sasquatch,” the question is posed once again. And if Bigfoot doesn’t exist, then who the hell tore apart three men in the woods in Northern California near a cannabis farm?

As seen in the trailer for “Sasquatch,” the docuseries follows the story of an investigative journalist that typically finds himself embedded with neo-Nazis and other unsavory folks. However, the strangest story from his career came when he was working on a cannabis farm in Northern California. There, he learned of three bodies that were found torn apart, with folks speculating that it was a sasquatch that killed the men. But maybe it was the result of a drug deal gone wrong? Eh, probably Bigfoot.

“Sasquatch” is directed by Joshua Rofé, who is probably best known for previous projects including “Lorena” and “Swift Current.” The series is executive produced by the Duplass Brothers, through their Duplass Brothers Productions.

“Sasquatch” is set to debut at this year’s SXSW. It will arrive on Hulu after the premiere on April 20 (4/20, naturally).

Here’s the synopsis:

While visiting a pot farm in Northern California in 1993, investigative journalist David Holthouse heard a story that still haunts him: On a nearby farm three men were torn limb from limb in a savage Bigfoot attack. Sasquatch follows David as he revisits the Redwoods 25 years later, in search of any evidence that might lead to the truth of what happened that night. As he pulls at the threads of this story, he’ll be taken down a path that’s far more terrifying than anyone would have imagined.
