Scenes From The Chinese Version Of 'Iron Man 3' To Be Recut Into A Short Film

Iron Man 3, Robert Downey Jr.After “Iron Man 3” diehard fans apparently lost their minds when they heard that there were scenes exclusive to Chinese theaters that they might never get to see stateside, the powers that be decided to turn those “lost” scenes into a short film focusing on a character who only gets 10 seconds of onscreen time in the U.S. cut.

This short film, dubbed “The Prologue,” will be about Dr. Wu (played by Chinese actor Wang Xueqi). Approximately three minutes long, the short film will delve more into a character we didn’t get too familiar with in the first place (and that’s if we didn’t blink). There is no word yet on whether “The Prologue”  will get a standalone release (mayber on the internet?) or will be part of the additional features of the eventual “Iron Man 3” DVD/Blu-ray.

This is not the first time a film has had different cuts for different countries (“Pearl Harbor,” “Pride & Prejudice”) nor will it be that last, but at least you Iron Man fans will be able to see this footage in the end, anyway..
