Seth Rogen Is Correct: 'Zack And Miri'Is Tame, Not NC-17 Worthy In The Least

“I honestly feel like if people saw it they would have been like, ‘This is NC-17?’ And they would have been disappointed,” Seth Rogen told Reuters about Kevin Smith’s upcoming “Zack & Miri Make A Porno,” romantic comedy that comes out this weekend.

Can we get an Amen? ‘Porno’ is extremely tame and hardly deserves an R-Rating, but then again the dialogue does sport tons of F-bombs and dick-in-mouth sex jokes, but give us a break. There’s one scatological scene, that’s repulsive and pretty admittedly funny, but outside of that, the film is extremely tame, so we’re still not sure what all that NC-17 business was about other than the MPAA must be run by Mormons and Quakers (wait, did we just stick up for Kevin Smith??). It’s mostly a pretty sweet film with sophomoric humor in it.

Meanwhile, Rogen has been getting in shape for “The Green Hornet” and is hating himself for doing so, feeling like it’s a cliche young-Hollywood move once you’ve tasted a little success. “I feel like a sellout, I feel lame, I feel like a guy I would make fun of. He even has a trainer. “I go there real early in the morning. He tells me what to do, and I go home and go to sleep, and it’s like it never even happened.”

Speaking of Mormons, ‘Porno’s “shit-shot” has really ruffled some feathers and the film has been banned by a theater chain in Utah and replaced with the more wholesome Zac Efron film, ‘High School Musical 3.’
