Shia Labeouf Not Interested In D.J. Caruso's 'Y: The Last Man,' Sam Raimi Was Offered 'Star Trek' Helm, Three 'Bruno' TV Spots Debut

Despite being forever linked to the role, Shia LaBeouf has revealed that he is not interested in taking up the lead role in D.J. Caruso’s proposed adaptation of “Y: The Last Man” as he feels the protagonist Yorick is too similar to Sam Witwicky in “Transformers.” Right, because his career thus far has been all about diversity, right? Three TV spots for “Brüno” have been unveiled though they mostly feature mostly recycled clips previously in trailers and not that exciting. Is it just us or is “Brüno” loosing steam? A few months ago, especially after SXSW, the fim’s buzz was on fire. Now it’s the sound of slightly cracking embers. [FirstShowing]
