Shia LaBeouf Denies Knocking Out Tom Hardy But Instead Says They Had A Naked "Cutie Wrestling Match"

Even though his talent is undeniable, Shia LaBeouf has a reputation for being a bit of a wildcard while on set. Hell, to be honest, for years, his rep for being wild wasn’t just confined to the sets of films, either. So, when actor Tom Hardy detailed an incident where he was knocked out by the smaller actor, people might have been shocked by the severity of the action but not by the fact that it was LaBeouf involved. Well, years later, LaBeouf was asked about this alleged incident and the actor was allowed to clear the air once and for all.

Discussing the incident while eating spicy wings on Hot Ones, the ‘Peanut Butter Falcon’ actor said that the whole story was blown out of proportion and was a bit more silly than Hardy led everyone to believe.

“We used to wrestle all the time and he’s a big fucking person, especially then, he was getting ready for Bane,” LaBeouf explained. “We used to fuck with each other all the time but it just so happened that, this one week, my girlfriend was in town and he runs into the room. He runs into the room, the girl I was with at the time was terrified and she’s like, ‘Ahhhh!’ And she covered up and ran into the kitchen and I had nothing on, so now I’m naked on his shoulder, I’m in the hallway, we’re wrestling around and naked…”

He added, “We wound up inching towards where the stairs were and he fell down the stairs and ended up hurting his back, so for the rest of the shoot, he told everybody I knocked him out but that wasn’t the case. We were having some weird, like, cutie wrestling match.”

As ridiculous as this story sounds, considering the two men involved, it’s hard not to believe what LaBeouf said. Judging by the antics of both actors, with Hardy known for being a bit wild himself, an impromptu naked wrestling match sounds about right.

Either way, it appears that both men are still good with each other and this isn’t the beginning of some long-standing feud (looking at you, Mickey Rourke).

As mentioned, LaBeouf can currently be seen in “The Peanut Butter Falcon,” which is in theaters now and Hardy is next to be seen in “Fonzo” before reprising his superhero role in “Venom 2.”
