Short Cuts: 'John Carter Of Mars' Set To Begin Shooting Next Year; Ice Cube Set For 'Ride Along' Action Comedy

Andrew Stanton’s “John Carter Of Mars” is set to begin shooting next year with the city of Adelaide, Australia scouted as a potential filming location. The fact that Adelaide was also looked at as a filming location when the property was owned by Paramount may provide the story with a little more backbone. The film is based a popular book series by Edgar Rice Burroughs’ and tells the story of a Civil War veteran who is mysteriously transported to Mars and embarks on alien adventures.
