It’s funny how things work out sometimes. Last spring, T.J. Miller announced that he was leaving HBO‘s “Silicon Valley,” spreading his wings to pursue movie projects and other creative endeavors, and also do things like parasail into the Cannes Film Festival to promote “The Emoji Movie.” By the end of the year, Miller would be facing allegations of sexual assault. Meanwhile, his co-star Kumail Nanjiani had an incredible 2017 thanks to “The Big Sick,” and there may be one more victory lap to come with the Oscars ahead. All this to say: “Silicon Valley” is down one alleged abuser, and up one potential Oscar nominee.
Season five will see the rest of the crew return including Thomas Middleditch, Zach Woods, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Suzanne Cryer, and Jimmy O. Yang, as we follow Pied Piper once again trying to conquer the tech world, this time with a new internet. Naturally, nothing ever comes easy for them.
“Silicon Valley” season five arrives on March 25th.
