'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For' Pushed Back Nearly An Entire Year To Late Summer 2014

nullIt appears that Robert Rodriguez is human. With a work ethic to rival James Franco, the filmmaker has been on a tear recently shooting “Machete Kills,” “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For,” and the fan-assisted shortTwo Scoops,” while lining up TV projects including a From Dust ‘Til Dawn” series and a Latino James Bond-type show of which he’ll direct the pilot. It appears that something had to give in all this, and for those of you who have been waiting to revisit Sin City…well, you’ll have to keep waiting…

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For” has been pushed back nearly an entire year, from this October to August 22, 2014. And really, it makes sense. We frankly didn’t see how Rodriguez was gonna deliver “Machete Kills” and ‘Dame’ within a month of each other, especially given the amount of post-production the latter requires. So more time to get it right and market it properly is a no brainer. The movie is being shot just like the last one, entirely on green screen, but features just as explosive a cast with Josh Brolin, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Jamie Chung, Bruce Willis, Eva Green, Julia Garner, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven and Stacey Keach all on board.

There’s currently nothing slated on the August 22nd weekend, but that won’t last for long. So for now, put those “Sin City” reunion plans on hold. [Box Office Mojo]
