Now, in “Sing 2,” the stakes are that much higher, as Buster and his friends take to Redshore City for a new show at the Crystal Tower Theater. Unfortunately, Buster & company don’t have any connections in the big city. What’s worse, they’ve also promised ruthless gangster Jimmy Crystal that their show features a reclusive rockstar who hasn’t played a show in years. Will Buster be able to persuade Clay Calloway out of hiding to perform and take the Crystal Tower by storm, saving the careers (and lives) of him and his friends in the process?
Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Nick Kroll, Taran Egerton, and Tori Kelly all reprise their roles in “Sing 2.”
Newcomers to the cast include Bobby Cannavale as Jimmy Crystal, Letitia Wright, Eric André, Chelsea Peretti, and musical artists Halsey and Pharrel Williams. Bono is also on board as the rock legend Clay Calloway.
Jennings returns to write and direct “Sing 2” for Illumination. Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, producers of the first film, also return for the sequel.
Will Buster Moon and his friends find success under the big city’s bright lights? Find out on December 22, when “Sing 2” hits theaters everywhere. Check out the new trailer below.
