It’s been several years since we’ve seen Nick Frost share the screen with Simon Pegg. The duo that starred in Edgar Wright’s famous Cornetto Trilogy of films, which included “Shaun of the Dead,” “Hot Fuzz,” and “The World’s End,” are teaming up again in a brand-new horror comedy, “Slaughterhouse Rulez.”
In the first trailer for the film, viewers learn the very simple premise of the film. At a prestigious boarding school, students are hunted down after monsters of some sort escape from a sinkhole that has developed in the woods. Pegg and Frost are front and center in the trailer, playing a teacher and drug-dealer, respectively.

As mentioned, while the film appears to follow a group of students, the trailer wants the focus on Pegg and Frost. Since their last team-up, Simon Pegg has found himself in a slew of major blockbuster films, including “Star Trek,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” multiple “Mission: Impossible” films, and recently, in Steven Spielberg’s “Ready Player One.” Frost has also been busy in films like “The Huntsman: Winter’s War” and “Tomb Raider,” as well as the AMC TV series “Into the Badlands.”
“Slaughterhouse Rulez” comes from writer-director Crispian Mills, who is probably best known as the frontman of the British band Kula Shaker but also directed Pegg in another film titled “A Fantastic Fear of Everything.” The cast of ‘Slaughterhouse’ also includes Asa Butterfield, Michael Sheen, and Finn Cole.
The film is scheduled to hit theaters in the UK on October 31, fittingly.
