OK, so we won’t go the easy route with this one, but we will say that the poster for the forever delayed North American release of “I Love You Phillip Morris” doesn’t make any secret about the love between its two lead characters. And design wise, it couldn’t possibly get any more….fey.
The film, written and directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (“Bad Santa,” the upcoming “Crazy, Stupid, Love”) is based on the real life story of a con man (Jim Carrey) who begins an affair with his cellmate (Ewan McGregor) when he’s sent to prison.
The film is already old news in a number of overseas territories and after changing hands and having release dates bumped numerous times this year, Roadside Attractions has acquired the film and locked it in for a December 3rd release date. And in case you forgot, the film has a soundtrack by Nick Urata, a member of the band DeVotchKa. [EW]
