"Something Moves In The Shadows": 7 New 'Hobbit' Images, A New TV Spot & Where To See It In 48 fps

nullTolkien keeners take note: as of November 7 (this Wednesday), hard-core moviegoers will be able to purchase advance tickets for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," online and in theaters across North America, at 12:00pm Eastern Time. As such, Warner Bros. have released seven new photos of the Peter Jackson-directed tentpole and a new TV spot.

We can't say the spot or the photos reveal much of anything new — we kind of know what we're getting here. Tonally and storywise, the spots continue to focus on the quest of the thirteen dwarves ("We will proclaim our homeland," vows Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield) and the balance of light comedy and serious action drama we've seen thus far, but in spite of appearing very familiar in spirit to "The Lord Of The Rings" films, 'The Hobbit' also looks like it will at least be as similarly entertaining and enjoyable and we suppose that's all we can ask for from a series that doesn't look like it's aiming to break the mold.

Lastly, want to see the film in the much-touted 48 fps experience? Here's a list of all the theaters in the U.S. (91 in total) where you'll be able to do so. Starring Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis and many, many more, the first of three upcoming 'Hobbit' films, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," arrives in theaters on December 14.
