'Sons Of Anarchy' Spinoff In Development

Sons of AnarchySpinoffs and reboots aren’t just relegated to the film world. Television executives have figured out that a way to keep popular, existing brands going is by continuing the stories in a sideways manner. Of course, AMC has achieved this with great success via "Breaking Bad" offshoot "Better Call Saul," and now FX is going to give it a try for one of their recently retired programs.

EW reveals that Kurt Sutter is currently developing a "Sons Of Anarchy" spinoff. There aren’t many details, but the twist is that this new show will focus on the Mayans, the Hispanic motorcycle gang featured in the original show. Right now, Sutter is generating the idea, with the plan to executive produce and hand off showrunning duties to someone else.
