Soundtrack for 'New Year's Eve' Features Jon Bon Jovi & A Bunch Of Terrible Music

null"New Year's Eve" is coming, and we don't mean the debaucherous, end-of-year booze fest. We're talking about the latest rom-com in the holiday-themed (shudder) franchise whose claim to fame is overstuffing the movie with celebrities whose screen time each amounts to about five minutes. As is befitting to such a half-hearted endeavor, the soundtrack is equally lame, featuring artists you've either never heard of and/or didn't realize people still listened to. Though your mom might like it.

Jon Bon Jovi, who has never topped the soundtrack work he did on "Young Guns II" (seriously, "Blaze Of Glory" kind of rules), and Lea Michele get the most play here with two songs each. They'll team for a cover of Otis Redding's "Can't Turn You Loose" (ugh) with Bon Jovi also contributing his older tune, "Have A Little Faith In Me" while Michele will sing the classic "Auld Lang Syne." Goo Goo Dolls? Really? They're here with "Better Days." Jay Sean and Nicki Minaj will ring in the new year with "2012 (It Ain't The End)." Pink will screech on the disc with "Raise Your Glass." Thankfully this thing caps off with a song worth listening to, Charles Brown's classic "Bringing In A Brand New Year."

Anyway, all of this will hit stores on December 6th, a few days before the movie comes out on December 9th. Full tracklisting below. [Film Music Reporter]
