'Station Eleven' Trailer: Mackenzie Davis & Himesh Patel Star In HBO Max's Post-Apocalyptic Drama

It’s starting to feel like we’ve seen just about every possible iteration of the post-apocalypse in films and TV series. “The Walking Dead” has shown us the zombie apocalypse. “Y: The Last Man” showed us an end of days where all the men are wiped out. And “Sweet Tooth” has shown us a bright, sunny hellscape post-world-ending plague. But “Station Eleven” is hoping you’re ready for at least one more post-apocalypse.

As seen in the trailer for “Station Eleven,” the new HBO Max series follows the survivors of a massive flu outbreak as they try to rebuild society and somehow create a new, better world. Are viewers ready for a post-apocalyptic story about a virus that wipes out a ton of people in the COVID-era? We’ll have to wait and see. Regardless, the show does have one hell of a cast.

The new series stars Mackenzie Davis, Himesh Patel, Daniel Zovatto, David Wilmot, Matilda Lawler, Philippine Velge, Nabhaan Rizwan, Lori Petty, Gael Garcìa Bernal, and Danielle Deadwyler. “Station Eleven” is created and showrun by Patrick Somerville. You probably recognize his name from working on “The Leftovers,” as well as the Netflix series, “Maniac.” Most recently, he served as showrunner on the hit HBO Max series, “Made for Love.”

“Station Eleven” is set to hit HBO Max on December 16. You can watch the new trailer below.
