The cast is large, the vision looks ambitious, and the excitement is certainly there, but there is still ten long months to go until we see "Suicide Squad." Will it be the badass comic book movie the Comic-Con trailer promised? Certainly, cutting a hot three-minute sizzle reel and delivering a feature length movie are two entirely different things, but one thing is clear: director David Ayer doesn’t seem to be messing around.
The latest print edition of Empire has lots of new photos from the movie, and scans have hit the web. More looks at Harley Quinn, Joker, Enchantress, Amanda Waller, and more are featured, in what looks to be a rather dark, comic world vision. Can it play to mainstream audiences? That will be the big question, but as you can tell already by the release of these images, Warner Bros. is hoping potential ticket buyers are plenty familiar with this cast well in advance.
