Stephen Lang And Rachel Nichols Join 'Conan'; 'Smurfs 3D' Casts Four Including Katy Perry & Mitch Hurwitz And Will Arnett Team For 'Wilde Kingdom'

Stephen Lang has confirmed on the Oscars red carpet that he will indeed play, Khalar Singh, the main villain in Marcus Nispel’s “Conan.” The news follows the casting of Rachel Nichols as the main love interest for Conan, who will be played by relative unknown Jason Momoa.

Katy Perry, George Lopez, Alan Cumming and Jonathan Winters have joined the cast of the upcoming 3D “Smurfs” film. The quartet will provide their voices while the recently announced Neil Patrick Harris will play the primary live-action character. Perry’s involvement also suggests the inclusion of a musical Smurfette in the script.

Jane Fonda wants Rachel Bosworth to take up the role she previously played in the new “Barbarella” which was originally spearheaded by Robert Rodriguez but has now been taken over by… Bosworth’s “21” director Robert Luketic. Coincidence?

Keri Russell has joined Mitch Hurwitz newly titled T.V. show “Wilde Kingdom” which serves as a reunion for Hurwitz with “Arrested Development” star Will Arnett and Fox. The show centers on a Beverly Hills jackass (Arnett) who falls in love with a charitable tree-hugging woman (Russell) who can’t stand his lifestyle or values.

“Brothers Bloom” helmer Rian Johnson was recently revealed as a director of an episode in the upcoming third season of AMC’s “Breaking Bad.” The film stars Bryan Cranston as a chemistry teacher who moonlights as a drug dealer.
