Steven Yeun had gone from being one of the original stars of “The Walking Dead,” when it was the biggest thing on the planet, to starring in a series of acclaimed films including “Burning,” “Sorry to Bother You,” and of course, “Minari.” But it doesn’t look like his string of hits is going to end anytime soon, as it appears that Jordan Peele has his eyes on Yeun for an upcoming film.

According to Variety, Steven Yeun is being eyed to star opposite Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya in the upcoming Jordan Peele thriller about to begin production for Universal. The untitled film is being kept under wraps for now, so there are no clues as to what the plot might be, but whatever it is, this film will mark the third directorial effort for Peele after two massive hits “Get Out” and “Us.”
As mentioned, Yeun is probably best known for “The Walking Dead,” but since the show killed off his character several years ago, the actor has made the transition into feature films appearing in several high-profile roles. And this year, he’s broken out in a bit way thanks to his starring role in the Oscar-nominated feature, “Minari.” He’s also the lead character’s voice in Amazon’s “Invincible,” and he’s signed on to lead a new TV series from A24 titled “Beef.” Yeun also starred in a 2019 episode of the CBS All-Access‘ “Twilight Zone” produced by Jordan Peele.

Much like his previous films’ production, Jordan Peele remains mum about what we can expect from his third feature. Obviously, considering his previous films are horror-thrillers, it’s assumed the third will follow suit. It’s especially exciting as the film is reportedly going to star Kaluuya, who teamed up with the filmmaker for “Get Out.”
Even though there’s no title or plot available, we know the next Jordan Peele film will arrive on July 22, 2022.
