By now you've heard that Lindsay Lohan has somewhat miraculously landed an acting gig, an act previously thought impossible due to her general unreliability and ongoing legal and personal problems. But leave it to producer Larry Thompson who has done the impossible, and lined up the actress to play Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie "Liz & Dick." Surely a decision borne out of wanting to get the best person possible for the role, and not some kind of stunt casting done to ensure high ratings for what will otherwise be a probably terrible movie, the chatty Thompson has revealed that landing the talents of Lohan don't come cheap.
Talking with the best buds over at E! (via Vulture), the producer revealed that the contract Lohan had to sign had "three pages of what-ifs" to keep them protected in case anything should happen between now and when cameras are scheduled to roll in June. "Well, we have more than a Plan B actually," Thompson teased, "[because] Lindsay Lohan may be the most insured actress that ever walked on a soundstage." We're not sure what that means exactly, but maybe they'll just CGI the whole thing in the event she bails? We heard holograms are a big thing nowadays too….
Anyway, Thompson is bending over to make sure everything can meet Lohan's requirements, including moving the production from Canada to Los Angeles. He says her "vulnerability" makes her a great choice to play the titan, Elizabeth Taylor. We'll see. But still no word on who he'll get for Richard Burton. Any suggestions?
