There’s still more to take in from the Sundance Film Festival‘s big slate of upcoming movies, and as the event in Park City draws near, some images to take a look at.
"Afterschool" and "Simon Killer" director Antonio Campos is back with "Christine," pairing up Rebecca Hall and Michael C. Hall for a ’70s set, true story tale. Here’s the synopsis: In 1974, a female TV news reporter aims for high standards in life and love in Sarasota, Florida. Missing her mark is not an option. This story is based on true events.

Meanwhile, Nate Parker unveils "The Birth Of A Nation," and while not a remake of the D.W. Griffith film, I can only imagine it’s a counterpoint to that notorious movie. Armie Hammer, Jackie Earle Haley, Gabrielle Union, and more are along for the ride. Here’s the synopsis: Set against the antebellum South, this story follows Nat Turner, a literate slave and preacher, whose financially strained owner, Samuel Turner, accepts an offer to use Nat’s preaching to subdue unruly slaves. After witnessing countless atrocities against fellow slaves, Nat devises a plan to lead his people to freedom.
Sundance runs from January 21-31, 2016.
