Swedish Duo Mans Marlin & Bjorn Stein In Talks To Direct 'Underworld 4'

So, yeah, “Underworld 4” is officially a thing that is happening with Kate Beckinsale signing on for the project back in September. Audiences seem to love watching women in tight leather outfits running around kicking ass (please see “Resident Evil: Afterlife“) and these the ‘Underworld’ films seem to be cheap to make and turn a good profit so no surprise Screen Gems/Lakeshore Entertainment are looking to get another one there.

Since director and producer Len Wiseman, who has been involved in some capacity in all the entries so far, will only be producing this time around, Swedish duo Mans Marlin and Bjorn Stein are in talks to direct the film. The two are probably best known for helming the Julianne Moore and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers thriller “Shelter” which has already been released in a handful of overseas territories, but has not yet been given a U.S. release date and if you watch the trailer below, you’ll pretty much see why that is.

Production on “Underworld 4” will begin in March in Vancouver and the film has a script by John Hlavin (“Donkey Punch“) with revisions by “The Changeling” scribe J. Michael Straczynski. [THR]
