In the trailer for “The Harder They Fall,” you’re introduced to the basic plot—a group of outlaws rob a train, but they don’t take any money. Instead, their prize is a member of their group that is being transported by armed guards on his way to a prison. From there, the outlaws are then confronted by another group that are attempting to get revenge. This leads to some really over the top action scenes that are teased in the clip that are brutal and bloody, but also a hell of a lot of fun, in a Quentin Tarantino way.

But let’s not forget the cast. The incredible ensemble includes Jonathan Majors, Zazie Beetz, Delroy Lindo, LaKeith Stanfield, Danielle Deadwyler, Edi Gathegi, R.J. Cyler, Damon Wayans Jr., Deon Cole with Regina King, and Idris Elba. Seriously, those names alone warrant the cost of admission. To be fair, the cost of admission is a Netflix subscription and a spot on your couch.
“The Harder They Fall” hits Netflix in the fall.
Here’s the synopsis:
When outlaw Nat Love (Jonathan Majors) discovers that his enemy Rufus Buck (Idris Elba) is being released from prison he rounds up his gang to track Rufus down and seek revenge. Those riding with him in this assured, righteously new school Western include his former love Stagecoach Mary (Zazie Beetz), his right and left hand men — hot-tempered Bill Pickett (Edi Gathegi) and fast drawing Jim Beckwourth (R.J. Cyler)—and a surprising adversary-turned-ally. Rufus Buck has his own fearsome crew, including “Treacherous” Trudy Smith (Regina King) and Cherokee Bill (LaKeith Stanfield), and they are not a group that knows how to lose.
