The Horror! 'Carrie' Remake Moved To Fall 2013, 'The Last Exorcism 2' Gets A New Poster

nullWelcome to 2013, and no, Hollywood hasn't changed much since 2012. Sequels and remakes still rule the roost, and horror fans will get plenty of both over the next twelve months, so let's get to it.

Though it got a pretty major push this fall with a teaser trailer and a panel appearance at New York Comic-Con, you're going to have to wait a little bit longer for Kimberly Peirce's remake of "Carrie" starring Chloe Moretz and Julianne Moore. Originally slated to arrive in March, the movie will now drop on the Halloween friendly date of October 18th. No reason was given for the move, but we can only guess that it's probably a combination of time given to get the FX in order and also to allow the movie to hit theaters when audiences are looking for a good scare. It will be a packed weekend with Warner Bros. "Seventh Son" and the Robert De Niro starring, Luc Besson directed "Malavita" arriving, but it seems MGM is banking on horror trumping all.

Meanwhile, "The Last Exorcism Part II" continues to roll along even though its title makes no sense, with a brand new poster for the sequel. Ashley Bell returns to contort her body demonically in the followup no asked for, but if you're curious, you can see what it's all about on March 1st. [STYD/Yahoo]null
