Terrence Malick is well known for shooting endless amounts of footage, most of which we'll never see, but it seems for this upcoming duo of movies "Knight Of Cups" and the tentatively titled "Lawless," not only can he not turn off the camera, celeb friends are popping up everywhere as he continues to roll. Neon Indian dude Alan Palomo, The Cult and Matthew McConaughey are some of the faces that were snapped shooting scenes at SXSW a couple of weeks back, and now, yet another celeb has been spied shooting scenes with Malick and co.
Fansite Christian Bale.org have some pics of a shoot that took place yesterday in Santa Monica with Christian Bale and Seneca Crane himself, Wes Bentley. Is this official shooting? Is it still pre-production? Will it make the final cut? Which movie is this for? Your guess is as good as ours, but either way, Bale and Bentley seemed to have had a bro-tastic time on what looks like a man-date in the surf. Meanwhile on Twitter, Brianna Burgarin tweeted out another pic from a recent shoot, with Bale and Malick standing together between shots.
So, there is your Malick dripfeed for today. Certainly, the enigmatic director is busier than ever, and with both of his next movies seemingly pushing forward at full speed (at full Malick speed anyway), could this mean the untitled romance aka "The Burial" aka "The Funeral" is now edited and ready for Cannes? We'd put a small wager on it, and we'll find out in a couple of weeks. Pics below. (Thanks to Caro and Christian for the heads up!)
