The Most Unintentionally Funny Moment of 2012

nullGabe just tore into "The Hunger Games" and ripped it a new asshole. I wouldn't go so far, but I also can't say I liked the movie much. His missive against it reminded me of what I found to be the most hilarious moment of the film and therefore kind of the most unintentionally funny moment of the year (hey, we have to appoint one, right?)

In the dystopian post-apocalyptic future of "The Hunger Games," children from lesser states (called districts) fight to the death as a kind of payback punishment for past rebellions against the capital. Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) volunteers to take her younger sister's place in the games and she's joined by her district's male tribute, Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson).

They essentially have to work together to try and survive against all the other teenagers trying to kill them during the annual games. Inevitably they get separated, Peeta gets injured and then hides. And here's where it gets too funny. Earlier on it's established that Peeta is a baker's son and he makes cakes. So therefore this apparently gives him impressive make-up skills that translate into Peeta masquerading as a rock so he won't be found by the other bloodthirsty kids.

I don't know if this scene is quite as funny out of context, but it was so ridiculous I literally spit take'd so hard during the scene, I gave the poor unfortunate soul sitting in front of me a backwashed soda shower.
