What happens when the definition of success suddenly changes? Two siblings are learning what it means to move on from prominence in “The Other Two.” The comedy series returns for a second season, and this time another character is finding her chance at fame. Now a popular talk show host, Pat’s own rise to stardom is challenging how an entire family feels about being in the spotlight. Alterations to “The Other Two” don’t just stop with storylines. Originally airing on Comedy Central during its first season, the show is now a part of HBO Max.

Creators Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider return to write and executive produce the series. The former ‘SNL‘ co-head writers are working with a cast full of experienced comedic talent. SNL alum Molly Shannon heads up the cast in its second season; she’s had recent success with “The White Lotus,” another HBO project. Shannon is joined by “Masters of Sex” actress Heléne Yorke, “Bajillion Dollar Propertie$” co-star Drew Tarver, Case Walker, and Ken Marino. Wanda Sykes appears in a recurring role. ‘Two’ also features a surprising mix of guest stars, including Jordana Brewster, Justin Bartha, Zosia Mamet, Debi Mazar, Tuc Watkins, and Bowen Yang.

With their pop star brother, ChaseDreams (Case Walker), officially entering retirement at the ripe old age of fourteen, Brooke and Cary (Heléne Yorke and Drew Tarver) must now contend with a new famous family member: their 53-year-old mother Pat (Molly Shannon), and her eponymous daytime talk show. Humiliated at being The Other Two yet again, they double down and make it their mission not to be.
