“Nobody will go to a film because the guys were on schedule and on budget. It’s how good the film is,” Alejandro G. Inarritu told THR last month, addressing the stream of reports that came out about the extended shoot, and production and crew problems on "The Revenant." But the director has persevered, the movie is locked, the awards season is coming and now we have another little morsel of knowledge about the picture.
Kyle Smith of the New York Post tweeted that the running time of the movie is 156 minutes. You’ll want to make sure your bowels are empty before you steel yourself for the film, and maybe hold off on ordering the jumbo soda. Meanwhile, a handful of new pictures have arrived showing off the gritty drama starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy, about a man who seeks vengeance after being buried alive, and left for dead.
"The Revenant" opens on Christmas Day.
