This Is Gonna Make You Cream: Two 'Anchorman 2' Teaser Trailers Arrive

nullUpdate: There's a second teaser trailer that's just been released (one that, to be honest, is much funnier than the theatrical cut). Check that out below too. [Funny or Die, via Pajiba]

"Hey America, isn't this an old-fashioned shot to the nutsack?" Now titled "Anchorman: The Legend Continues," as promised, a teaser-trailer for the "Anchorman 2" sequel has arrived a few days after the teaser-poster landed (teases!), and after a weekend when it played in front of "The Dictator.". Starring the beloved Channel 4 news team, Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner, if you had any concerns about the original team not fully reuniting for "Anchorman 2," you can now officially put them to bed.

But don't look for answers about the plot. Writer/director Adam McKay has already said several times that no script is complete and all they have right now are some ideas they are tossing around. We do know it won't be a musical as was the original idea way back when. It will focus on diversity, will somehow involve the show "Bowling For Dollars" will likely be set in the late 1970s instead of the mid-1970s and may possible feature a custody battle. Would that be for Ron Burgundy's son that he maybe had with Veronica Corningstone? Or perhaps Baxter? One can only speculate, but McKay has said he does want Christina Applegate to return.

As for the trailer itself? Well, it's cute, and isn't game-changing in any way, but hell, it's a teaser-trailer probably shot and scripted in a day. You can see it on the big screen now courtesy of "The Dictator" (which McKay helped on). No release date is set yet, but "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" is expected to hit in late 2013.
