According to Deadline, Andrew Dominik is working on a new documentary about his frequent collaborators, Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. The doc, titled “This Much I Know To Be True,” dives deep into the creative relationship between Cave and Ellis, while creating their most recent albums, “Ghosteen” (from Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds) and “Carnage” (from Nick Cave & Warren Ellis).
It’s not surprising that Dominik is working with Cave and Ellis on this film, as the duo previously worked on the music for the filmmaker’s feature, “The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford.” ‘True’ is being thought of as a follow-up to the music doc, “One More Time With Feeling,” which is directed by Dominik and follows the creation of a Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds album after the death of Cave’s teen son.

“This Much I Know To Be True” was filmed last year and will spotlight the duo’s preparation for the first performances of the new albums. There will also be interstitial moments that are meant to “illuminate the cosmology and themes of the music.”
A release date has yet to be announced, but the film is expected to be ready before Cave and Ellis go on tour later this year.
