Three New Clips From Terry Gilliam's 'The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus'

Three new clips from Terry Gilliam’s “The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus” have surfaced online thanks to French film site, Comme Au Cinema, who always provide a treasure trove of Cannes material each year.

We have yet to throw together a ‘Parnassus’ review round-up yet (what happened there, huh?), but a quick survey of reviews looks like — similar to many other Cannes film — a mixed reception of thoughts. We’ll get to that hopefully before the day is done, but first, three clips. One, at the bottom you’ve already seen a shorter version of with Heath Ledger’s Tony espousing about dreams and the virtues of the Imaginarium, another one with Christopher Plummer’s Doctor Parnassus character trying to tell his daughter (Lily Cole) about the deal he once made with the devil (Tom Waits) and a third clips with Andrew Garfield’s enamored character trying to entice Lily Cole’s Valentina to run-away with him.

‘Parnassus’ as of this writing has still not been sold, which can’t bode well for the producers of the film trying to earn a prettier penny than usual, but we’ll surely still see it this year in the U.S., probably in the fall, if not around the globe to be sure. Audiences will find it, but whether the financiers will get paid is an entirely different question.
