Along with “House Of Cards,” “Orange Is The New Black” was one of Netflix‘s early must-see TV shows that helped turn the streaming service into a content giant. And this year the series is still going strong, delivering its fifth season, with Netflix already renewing the show through season seven.
I haven’t been watching the series, but this clip picks up right where season four left off, and cuts away (and leaves you with a big bang). Even more intriguing, the new season will take place in real time, over the course of three days. That’s pretty cool stuff. Here’s the official synopsis:
A riot sparked by Poussey’s death quickly escalates when the inmates gain control of the prison. Once they get a taste of power, chaos erupts in the halls of Litchfield. The unprecedented season will take place in real time and over the course of just three days, leaving the inmates’ lives forever changed as they are emboldened to fight for redemption, resolution and the respect they deserve.
“Orange Is The New Black” returns on June 9th.
