The stars of “Call Me By Your Name,” are both having a moment, albeit two careers moving in two different directions. Armie Hammer, following a “cannibal” social media scandal has been fired (not excited as first reported) from most of his projects and his agency, WME has dropped him like a bad habit. Timothée Chalamet, on the other hand, his career keeps rocketing upwards, working with auteur and auteur and being highly in demand (he’s currently shooting Adam McKay’s “Don’t Look Up,” starring Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio). Next up for Chalamet, an immediate appearance in an “Edward Scissorhands” sequel, or at least, an “Edward Scissorhands”-themed Super Bowl commercial.

The ad comes from Cadillac’s stars Chalamet as Edgar Scissorhands, Edward’s son, but also features Winona Ryder reprising her role as Kim Boggs. from Kim Boggs.’s 1990 dark fairytale classic. The commercial for the Cadillac LYRIQ, will evidently air during the SuperBowl game’s fourth quarter as part of General Motors’ new push for its new electric cars.

In the ad, life for Scissorhands’ son, Edgar is tough. He makes life tough on the bus for bus drivers, ruins science demonstrations with his magnetic hands, and even ruins a casual game of touch football. His troubles are rewarded, however, with a new car, yes, the LYRIQ. “And Edgar drove off into the sunset,” Ryder’s Kim narrates. “But don’t worry, he still makes it home in time for dinner — occasionally.”

“It was pretty surreal to have Timothée play my son, Edgar,” Ryder told Variety in an email about the ad. “Timothée is an incredible guy — so talented and sweet. I felt a pretty instant bond with him.” Tim Burton himself weight in too. “It’s rare when a work you’re proud of continues to live on and evolve with the times, even after 30 years. I’m glad to see Edgar coping with the new world! I hope both fans and those being introduced to Edward Scissorhands for the first time enjoy it.”
