Tina Fey Says "No Way" To Hosting The Oscars

nullWell, you can go ahead and scratch one name off the list. Yesterday, we ran down five suggetions of who could replace Seth MacFarlane in hosting the Oscars in 2014, after the "Family Guy" creator revealed Sunday was his first and last time. One of the possibilities we named was Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who charmed and killed it this year as the MCs of the Golden Globes, but it looks like that won’t be in the cards, no matter how potentially great it would be.

"I just feel like that gig is so hard. Especially for, like, a woman — the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone…no way," she told Huffington Post. Pressed into a sliver of a hope that if the right opportunity presented itself, she would be game, Fey emphasized, "I wish I could tell you there was [a chance]."

Sad emoticon. So scratch her off the list as the "30 Rock" actress pursues other ventures following the finale of her sitcom, including a starring role in this spring’s "Admission," a turn in the forthcoming "Muppets…Again!" and possibly a stage bound "Mean Girls" musical.  But there is one moment from the Oscar show on the weekend she does cherish: "It’s an honor to be Shatnered."

So with Fey taking herself out of the running, any other women you think would do a good job? Leave your suggestions below. [THR]
