It doesn’t get much more star-studded at the July 4th box office than a movie pairing up Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. But with families getting together on the upcoming long weekend, people will sure want to find something everyone can enjoy with Grandma and “Larry Crowne” will certainly be a better, less deafening option than “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”
But before Friday arrives, if you want to get in the mood, you can pick up the soundtrack CD which is appropriately summery and FM radio ready. The disc is highlighted by a new tune by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers who have three cuts on the disc, “Walls (No. 3)” “Listen to Her Heart” and “Runnin’ Down a Dream.” Throwing things back a bit, Electric Light Orchestra and Billy Squier get some tunes, along with the legendary Smokey Robinson. Also of (lesser) note are newbie folks like Tyler Hilton and Sky Ferreira while James Newton Howard rounds things out with “French Toast” from his score to the film.
You can pick up the soundtrack for Mom tomorrow and see the movie this Friday, July 1st (Canada Day!). Check out the full tracklisting below. [KPLJ]
