Trailer For 'Life As We Know It' Is Basically 'Knocked Up 2'

While most of our readers are familiar with writer/director Greg Berlanti because of his work on the upcoming “Green Lantern” which he penned, his background in relationship dramedies is actually far more extensive having worked on shows such as “Everwood,” “Brothers & Sisters” and “Eli Stone.”

Berlanti already has one film under his belt, “The Broken Hearts Club,” and on October 8th, his sophomore directorial effort “Life As We Know It” will hit theaters everywhere. The trailer has arrived and it plays like every Katherine Heigl movie she has ever made combined with every other new-couple-with-baby-has-hilarious-and-touching-hijinks film to ever hit the big screen. The movie pairs Heigl with Josh Duhamel, two people who (shock!) are not right for each other but through a fairly unbelievable set of circumstances, legally become parents to a baby. If you swapped out Duhamel for Seth Rogen, you could see what “Knocked Up 2” might look like if it was directed and written by someone who isn’t Judd Apatow. Or in this case, if it was written by Ian Deitchman and Kirstin Rusk Robinson and directed by Greg Berlanti.

Heigl’s films seem to bring out audiences in droves no matter how appalling they are, so this will probably do decent box office. Watch “Knocked Up 2” below:
