Trailer & Poster Debut For SXSW Buzzed Post-Apocalyptic Break-Dancing Film 'The FP'

SXSW may be over but we’ll likely be hearing about many of the films that played there for a long time to come (check out our 7 favorites from the fest if you haven’t already).

One of the films we didn’t get a chance to check out while there was “The FP,” the feature debut from The Trost Bros. Based on their 2007 short film, “The FP” is about 2 brothers, JTRO and BTRO, who must compete for the pride of their hometown in a Beat-Beat Revolution dancing contest in Frazier Park (The FP). It’s also set in some kind of 80s-indebted retro-future apocalypse and filled with dialogue like “He wasn’t expecting the unexpected, but it sure expected him” and pretty much looks exactly as crazy as it sounds. If the new indie grindhouse aesthetic is your thing, this would probably make a pretty good double-feature with “Hobo With A Shotgun.”

You can check out the poster (courtesy of the excellent Tyler Stout) and slightly NSFW trailer below. [AICN/UGO]
