Also Alex Gibney’s Ken Kesey-Centered Documentary, ‘Magic Trip’
Alright, a whole slew of new trailers and clips have arrived. Lets do this. Hold your nose.
The animals at one particular zoo decide to break their code of silence in order to help their lovable zookeeper gain the attention of one particular woman! Starring Kevin James, Rosario Dawson, Leslie Bibb, and the voice work of Cher, Nick Nolte, Adam Sandler, Sylvester Stallone, Frank Coraci‘s “Zookeeper” would make you want to blind and deafen yourself, but hey, let’s face it, this film is rated PG, and not intended for us.
Next up is the thriller “Good Neighbors” starring Scott Speedman,Jay Baruchel and Emily Hampshire in what couldn’t possibly look like more of a cliche, B-movie thriller. “In a city gripped by fear,” says the portentous basso-voiceover, “Three neighbors are getting to know each other. When everyone is a suspect, they’ll discover that the real danger isn’t on the streets, it’s much closer to home!” Eyeroll alert. That’s fucking painful.
Watch them if you dare below the jump, more plus new clips from “Super 8” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”

Much to the chagrin of nerds everywhere, this new clip from Michael Bay‘s apparently “more-serious” “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” features no robots it in, but there are vintage cars in the background. What, no, Nigel, The 1920 Packard Open Roadster? The clip features Shia LaBeouf, his new out-of-his league girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (when will the writers address this and since it’s a Bay film, aren’t they comfortable with penning something about him packing unusually large heat downstairs?) and Patrick Dempsey playing her insufferably cocky boss. While dumb, this scene is refreshingly light-hearted next to everything we’ve seen so far from “Dark Of The Moon” which looks terribly melodramatic and surely will be replete with tons of slo-motion and ascending THIS-is-happening score. The last film in the series (hopefully) is due July 1.

We also have one more scene from J.J. Abrams‘ Spielberg-ian ode to youth and ’70s action-adventure films, “Super 8,” but if we dare to mention lens flares, even in an affectionately teasing manner, apparently even your mom will come down to post vitriol in our comments section. Suffice to say it’s explosion-y and action-y. It arrives in theaters June 10. There’s also a Japanese poster via FirstShowing below.

Lastly we’ve got Alex Gibney‘s “Magic Trip” documentary co-directed by Alison Ellwood. The doc chronicles “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” author Ken Kesey‘s famous 1964-drug-fueled road trip which was the basis of author Tom Wolfe‘s equally legendary nonfiction/new journalism book, “The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test” (seriously, if you don’t even read you should force yourself to pour through that classic). The Academy-Award winning (and super-prolific) Gibney’s work includes “Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson,” “Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer,” and the Oscar-winning “Taxi to the Dark Side” so this one should be worth the effort.
