“It’s a Hard Truth Ain’t It”

Synopsis: An animated documentary.  A glimpse at the stories of thirteen incarcerated men at the Pendelton Correctional Facility in Indiana. Director Sackler’s camera closes in on these inmates as they attend a weeklong cinematic workshop inside the prison. The director shows the jailed men documentaries they’ve never seen before such as “Grizzly Man,” and then lets them film each other so they can tell their own stories in front of the camera.
