Lord, does the world really need a song by model turned actor Tyrese, let alone one featuring Jewel for the “Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen” soundtrack?
Tyrese seems to think so and the pro-active actor took the initiative to record a song for the film with mostly missing-in-action pop folkie Jewel (she’s from Alaska if you haven’t heard).
“Me and Jewel, we finished the record, and we sent it over to all of the right folks,” the “Transformers” star told MTV. Uhh, considering he stars in the film as one of the soldiers, we should really hope he knows who the right folks are. He makes it sound like Michael Bay wouldn’t take his calls and maybe he won’t.
Apparently Tyrese is hoping the song, called “Make It Last,” will appear on the soundtrack. “I don’t know if it’s going to make the soundtrack, but it should still be a part of the score of the film.”
Sorry, Tyrese, the “Transformers 2″ soundtrack tracklisting is already out there, and Bay apparently thinks so little you he’d rather have tracks by fucking Hoobastank on his CD soundtrack than whatever piddle you’re trying to pass as a song. And you can understand why Bay would pass, apparently it’s a love ballad, produced by R&B slickster, Babyface. Yeah, doesn’t sound like something Bay would use.
Apparently, Tyrese hoped the song would be used in a tender moment between Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. “Jewel is a ‘Transformers’ fan,” he noted (like that makes a fuck of a difference). “And once I explained [the idea and scene] to her — because obviously she hasn’t seen the movie yet — what the moment was going to be where our song could be played, she got into that zone.”
LOL. Will the song make the movie? Will you care? “Transformers 2” hits in July. BTW, apparently Stan Bush’s re-recorded version of “The Touch” — featured in the animated, “The Transformers: The Movie” from 1986 — leaked right as we were going to Cannes. It’s even more hilariously awful and so far it seems there’s no way the song is being featured in ‘Revenge Of The Fallen.’
