U.S. Postal Service To Issue Pixar Stamps

For those of you too young to remember, “mail” is something that people used to take time to write on real paper. They would then place it inside an envelope, go outside (hard to believe, we know) and place it in a steel, blue box and in a matter of days or weeks (depending on where it was going) it would arrive at the home of the person you sent it to. Really. That’s how people used to communicate. But now with email and texting the mail service has largely been reduced to delivering Victoria’s Secret magazines, Amazon orders and those Publisher’s Clearing House contests.

Anyway, the United States Postal Service is set to continue their successful Art of Disney program of stamps designed from studio properties and are set to issue a new step of stamps featuring popular Pixar characters. The new set will feature a pane of 20 stamps with five designs from Pixar films: Lightning McQueen and Mater from “Cars“; Remy the rat and Linguini from “Ratatouille“; Buzz Lightyear and two of the green, three-eyed aliens from “Toy Story“; Carl Fredricksen and Dug from “Up“; and the robot WALL*E from “WALL*E.”

The stamps will go on sale at the end of next summer on August 19th and will make a nice gift for the Pixar fan in your life. [/Film via USPS]
