As Universal Pictures releases “F9” later this month, there has been speculation from “Fast & Furious” fans how they’ll continue the cash-cow run of action films once everything is tied up with “Fast & Furious 10” or “Fast & Furious 11.” However, the most recent installment has already earned an impressive $270.6 million globally, ahead of its domestic release. It proves there is still a thirst for more of these movies and, in the case of some actors, plenty of gas in the tank.
Franchise lead Vin Diesel seems open to the idea of being part of future films as speaking with Vulture, he mentioned a desire to make solo movies centered around his character, Dom Toretto, that could be simply spinoffs or prequels with a younger actor.
First teasing his interest to explore Dom Toretto more by stating, “I think the Toretto storyline that they’ve wanted to do can always exist in the future. It’s not something that is completely off the table.”

“I will say that there is nothing that is off the table,” Diesel doubled down when asked about making a Toretto spinoff.
That’s not the only big what-if plans from Diesel as the “Fast & Furious” star might follow his co-star Michelle Rodriguez to Pandora, as MTV News’ Josh Horowitz asked (See video below) the actor point-blank during an interview if he’s part of James Cameron‘s ‘Avatar‘ sequels. This comes after Diesel posted a cheeky video on Instagram from the Manhattan Beach Studios motion-capture set with Cameron himself, leading fans to believe he’d be joining one or multiple sequels.

Diesel teased they would be working together in the future but was quick to say he hasn’t shot anything yet, “I have spent time with [James Cameron], but I have not filmed yet. [The actor smiles while pausing] I love James Cameron, and I love the series, and I think it’s safe to say that we will be working together.”
If he hasn’t shot anything yet, this could mean that Vin Diesel might be part of “Avatar 4” or “Avatar 5,” as the first two sequels have completed filming, according to James Cameron and producer Jon Landu.
“F9” will race into U.S. theaters on June 25.
