Watch: 2 Clips From 'The Way, Way Back' Starring Sam Rockwell

The Way Way Back

The Way, Way Back” may not be a summer blockbuster extravaganza, but it’s perfect for a summertime release. Hitting theaters this Friday on July 5th, “The Way, Way Back” is a coming-of-age tale about Duncan (Liam James), a shy teenager, and the friends he makes at the Water Wizz water park. His most fulfilling friendship comes in the form of Sam Rockwell, of course, who plays Owen the park manager. We have two clips from the movie, so journey on down and check them out.

The film was written and directed by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash (the co-writers of “The Descendants”). Rash also co-stars in the film as a neurotic equipment manager for the water park, and he’s almost unrecognizable in the role. You can check out his interaction with Sam Rockwell’s Owen in the clip below, which comes courtesy of MoviefoneNot to be outdone, Nat Faxon appears in the second clip as Roddy, Owen’s right hand man at the park. In this clip, the two harass Duncan about his crush Susanna (AnnaSophia Robb).

The film also stars Toni Colette, Steve Carell, Allison Janney, Maya Rudolph, and Rob Corddry and you can catch it in limited release this weekend.
